As our first post, I wanted to welcome everyone to Retro64 and announce some big changes coming up. But first, a little history. In 2007, PopCap Games acquired the entire Retro64 team and we immediately began working for PopCap. We set up a small PopCap Chicago studio in the same offices Retro64 occupied, releasing several titles including The Wizard's Pen and Banana Bugs.
PopCap was nothing but fantastic in our four years there- they're truly good, ethical people in an industry filled with sharks and money chasers. So good, in fact, they flat out *gave* us one of the unreleased games we worked on during our time there.
...Which leads to the announcement part. This unreleased game is going to be our first original game, and I am very confident you will enjoy it- and you will be able to play it on your PC, Mac, or iPad! More on our new game very soon!
